When you view a listing on ColdwellBanker.com, you will likely see the incorrect listing agent. When you view one listing, let's say with agent John Doe, next time you go look at ANY listing on ColdwellBanker.com, you are likely to see John Doe again as the listing agent, instead of the correct listing agent. This is because the website is assuming you were a potential customer that is already working with John Doe and the site is attempting to force you to only see John Doe from now on. Great for agents, pain in the neck for our staff.
The ColdwellBanker.com website pulls off this little trick by using something called "Cookies". So, what you have to do is turn Cookies off for the ColdwellBanker.com website in your browser. Once you do this on a PC (or Mac), you won't have to do it again, unless you switch to another PC (or Mac).
The first video explains how to do this for Chrome:
- Settings > Advanced > Content Settings > Cookies
- Then, under Block type or copy/paste this: [*.]coldwellbanker.com
- Note: This will then cause NO AGENT to show up on listings when you first view a listing page until you refresh the page once or twice. Once you do that, you should see the correct agent show up.
(For Internet Exporer 11: see second video below.)
For Internet Exporer 11: see this video below. However, from what I can see, there is not a way to do this for Internet Explorer 10 or older. I also can't find anything on do this with Microsoft Edge.
